Actress/Playwright and Singer Songwriter Eleanor Bennet is doing something wacky and special, on 27th of March between 9am and 5pm.
Eleanor is attempting a Guinness World Record TM She is building the world's tallest toilet roll tower!
The bubbly fun-filled performer devised the wacky idea of the toilet roll tower, when she contemplated how to raise awareness and money for a subject close to her heart, but far to often ignored by others, the vital funding that is required to combat the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease.
So in partnership with the Alzheimer's Research Trust she is embarking on this eccentric but very serious venture!
The tower will be at least 15 metres tall, and overall it will take no less than 10000 toilet rolls to put up!!! She is hoping to get sponsorship for the toilet rolls, £1 per roll will raise £10 000 for the Alzheimer's Research Trust, the leading charity in Alzheimer's and Dementia Research in the UK.
The Alzheimer's Research Trust provides free information on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias: phone 01223 843899 or visit http://www.alzheimers-research.org.uk/.
The charity relies solely on public donations to fund its research.
The Alzheimer’s Research Trust is currently supporting 120 projects across the country.
