 Eleanor Bennet Eleanor Bennet Actress / Comedienne / PlaywrightEleanor's acting training began with a Performing Arts Foundation course at Kensington and Chelsea College, and continued, culminating in a Postgraduate Diploma in Theatre Practice, at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Credits include 'Joyce,' in 'Top Girls,' 'Emma,' in 'Betrayal,' 'Greta' in Berkoffs 'Metamorphosis,' and 'Lady Wishfort,' in the boddice ripping 'The Way of the World'! The comedy continued in her own production of 'Romeo and Juliet,' as 'Nurse.' Shortly afterwards she began writing her own material. Eleanor premièred her first show as writer and performer at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2008. 'Off her Trolley,' received excellent reviews. Subsequently she has since toured extensively with this popular show, and continues to give occasional performances. Eleanor Bennet Singer/ SongwriterEleanor has always enjoyed singing and songwriting and as a child sang at several music festivals including those at Godalming, Bournemouth, and Oxford where she performed light classical pieces. Some of her own comedic songs such as 'We Wipe Bums!' (available on i-tunes) feature in her shows. Recently she has released a more commercial single 'Mother and Child,' which she launched at 'The Broad Street Mall' in Reading. Having worked as a carer and witnessed the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease, 70% of sales proceeds from 'Mother and Child' are going to the Alzheimer's Research Trust.
